Google+ users are sharing news and concerns regarding Hurricane Isaac and buzzing about Google's Student Ambassador Program.
Hurricane Isaac made landfall Tuesday night, battering the coastline about 90 miles (145 km) north of New Orleans which was badly hit by Hurricane Katrina seven years ago. On Wednesday the storm, which has killed a number of people in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, moved closer to Port Fourchon, Louisiana leaving many residents without power.
Also causing a buzz Wednesday is Google's Student Ambassador Program (#GSA2012).
The annual program is for College or University students, requires a minimal commitment for the duration of the academic year and offers young people the chance to learn about Google's technological developments, build leadership skills and participate in Google events.
