Twitter index: Prada, GCSEs, One Direction

On August 23 Twitter users are buzzing about high-end fashion label Prada, who will be designing outfits for the movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby, their exam results and One Direction's new single.

On August 23 it was revealed that Miuccia Prada, the creative genius behind the Prada and Miu Miu labels, has designed costumes for Baz Luhrmann's big screen adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel The Great Gatsby which is due to hit theaters in 2013. The news has sparked excitement on Twitter amongs fans of the label and those looking forward to the release of the classic jazz age tale of lost love, betrayal and revenge.

Students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are driving the trend 'GCSE' in reference to the compulsory exam needed for 16-year-olds to progress to further education, the results of which came out Thursday.

Fans of British-Irish boy band One Direction are also the driving force behind two of the top ten topics -- 'Live While We're Young' and '30th September' in reference to the name of the band's new single and the date on which it will be released.
